Thanks for the replies everyone! I tried putting a delay in one of the panned tracks and it sounded pretty good.
I read that you can get a more full vocal sound by having a track in the center then two panned left and right tracks with a lower volume. Couldn't you accomplish the same thing by doubling the centered track?
