So I was looking into this DTS sound and found this youtube video...there is a disclaimer that youtube is only stereo but it is still amazing...In actuality it isn't amazing if you don't watch the video ...it's just music and effects go back n forth in stereo BUT with the video and how they sync the panning to flow with the direction of the things moving in the video it does become pretty cool...Never thought about it much but you could definitely make a video more impactful if you had relevant content moving in the video and synced the sound effects or instruments to the movement...For instance a lead guitar holding a feed back note and as he pointed his guitar to the left or to the right the guitar track panned to the left and right simultaneously...or a piano guy doing the slide from the high keys down to the lows keys and the piano track follows the hand as it pans from right to left... I dunno probably a bit of work to get the tricks right but definitely could make for a more impactful music video...just thinking out loud here... Damn cool audio visual track here...
