PA9 - Guitar MIDI - How to bend and slide?

I'm using PA9 and I'm trying to put my little guitar solo into a midi file just because i want to play with it. The solo thing has a couple bends and slides. Is it possible to do that with midi? If so, how would I do it?
 
Yes... most sounds respond to a pitch bend message. You can use the pitch bend controller on a keyboard to send the message.

Won't sound too much like a real guitar, though, unless you're Jan Hammer...
 
How do you do that? I tried going to the piano view, and change the thing to wheel, and to the channel, but then what?
 
I've done it before by taking a MIDI track, arming it for recording - in blend mode, not overwrite - and then pushing the wheel when I wanted to. It gets applied to the pre-recorded notes as long as the keyboard is sending messages on the same channel.
