Overdrive or distortion pedal?

Hello.

I am looking for a pedal to add a tiny bit of distortion/overdrive to my clean tones, mainly powerful clean rhythm chords. I have read that some pedals change your sound slightly even when off, I wouldn't want that because I will not be using the pedal too often as it is. I will not be using this pedal on top of an already distorted channel.

Any ideas?

Boss is preferred so I can use my daisy chain...but i'll appreciate any suggestions.

Get an overdrive pedal....
Smooth overdriven tones, not too harsh sounding, or tweak it to give u a "boost" for your clean tones...if u using ube amps, use it to overdrive the tubes to give u creamy tones..

i'll recommend Ibanez Ts-9..the industrial standard!
