Rock Steady
I found, after downloading several different driver packs from all over the world in several languages and from creative, just to get to all the features of my SB live value, that Compaq has most all the driver packs and oem packs that anyone would need for the different models of sb live. I did have to get the 123 meg setup file in order to get all the features. After upgrading to win2k I had even more problems with the Live than I did with the PCI 16. After a week up installs and reinstalls and trying all kinds of drivers, even the KX pack wouldnt install properly( i think there wasa corrupted file for the mixer). I got the pack from Compaqs site. I am over my frustration, and have begun to snuggle back up to my soundblaster until I can afford a better card. Thanks to all of you for letting me vent my woes here before I got the problem fixed.
Win2k running Sonar 2. XL still gives me that little pop-up that says my "SBLive is not supported, use anyway?". I say yes and it works fine.

-I'm curious, does your Value have five jacks on the back, or four? What I read on a UK site said that it should be lacking the digital-out, and only have four 3.5mm jacks.
...
-I never could find anyone who had a complete list of all the different versions of Creative cards floating around out there, and it's always so helpful when a company produces different/the same versions of different/the same products with the same/different names and ID #'s for different countries/regions......
