Does anyone know how to get the output channel to show in Cubase. Not in the mixer window, in the edit window?

Ive checked the manual and cant seem to find it anywhere. :(

Cheers,
Eck

I can tell you that it is the very first button in the upper left hand corner of the edit window here is a screen shot of True-Eurt's LE when I was helping her with a question, the black box.

Cheers for the reply.
I cant seem to find it.
I am using Cubae SX3, looks like you are using VST or something.

I tried all the buttons up the top left and they just change the view. Side bars n stuff, but no output channel.

I also use SX (in my sig ;) )that screen shot is from True-eurt's computer, she has LE its the same in SX the button that I showed you will bring a sidebar out from the left then you have to scroll down in that window and pick the tab that says channel and then you will see it......

Does the picture I put up show you what you want to see?

Yeah I know about that side window. I have it open always.
When I click on the "channel" tab all I get is the fader for the channel I have selected in the edit window though.
I tried pushing all the buttons in that window with no luck.

Sorry for being a dufus!

Any idaes what Im overlooking?

Oh you are looking for the Main out. I dont think you can show that in the edit window, why dont you open your mixer resize it just for the main out and then make that screen "always on top" im assuming that you only have one video monitor no?

Yeah its the main out Im looking for in the edit window.
I know I can get it becuase Ive had it before.

I am looking for it so I can automate the output volume and add effects etc.

Cheers anyway.

Eck

Click the "W" - Write - button on/off on the master channel (or any other output bus channel) and it will appear in the edit window.

That's the only way (and the only reason) to have it there to edit automation. You can add effects by selecting it in the mixer and working in the Inspector. You don't need it on the timeline for that.
