what would you guys recommend that rack mountable? Is the behringer one any good? It's 179.99.

Lexicon MPX 200. The new one looks pretty decent, and have used a variety of their products, I sure the sound quality is much more like what you would want to hear.

Also, don't be fooled about the USB/VST thingy. While it is sort of cool, it isn't quite what you might think it is at first.

I've used one of these. It's not super cool like the Kurzweil Rumour in terms of knock you on your butt sound. I do think it definitely beats any reverb plugin by a long shot. I might change my mind after getting more time with one. It's got an audition function that's pretty cool where it's got some canned sounds to put through a chosen effect. In essence, I'm impressed thus far given its price.

TC verbs are nice and dense for sure. On certain kinds of music, I like their sound.
I am fairly partial to Lexicon verbs though. The first time I used a 480, I knew where "that sound" came from that I heard on a lot of records! I got to use a PCM 70 extensively too, and just fell in love with that Lexicon sound.
It is more than just the reverbs! Lexicon delays continue to be the "flavor" in delay that just rocks my world! TC delays are too clean and sterile for my tastes. Lexicon delays just have a certain something that is cool about them.
A TC reverb would probably be my second purchase.
What really sucks is that many of these reverb boxes still don't offer SHIT for parameters that you can control. It is like they just keep releasing the same ol' crap with a different name. So what! They have 24 bit converters and work at 96KHz! Many of the cool older Lexicon verbs topped out at 16KHz and had 16 bit converters. They sounded wonderful!
I want a cheap box with more parameters to control!

have any of you guys used the Behringer V-Verb PRO REV2496 Reverb Modeling Processor? I was looking at this before I read this thread. The reviews were good. I have a Vamp2 by behringer and an amp. So far I am very happy with behringer. I was wondering what you guys think of their reverb unit. The lexicon looks nice too though. If this helps at all, reverb is a big part of my sound and I like to have my music seem like it's recorded in a catherdral (I play ambient black/doom metal).

I just picked up a Lexicon MX200 two days ago and will be fooling with it this weekend. Seems to be a no brainer to me.

The Alesis microverbs are surprisingly really great sounding little boxes especially for the money. You can usually get one for under 100 bucks for sure.

SonicAlbert gave me some advice a year or so back that I still stand by. If digital direct connections are not a priority, an LXP-15 used on ebay. Cool units. Big, deep metal boxes like the PCM series, though, so not a space saver. Great units though and upgradeable at audioupgrades.com
