Out door playing

doing a out door gig with no mics next week and I need to know if it would be a good idea to tune my toms up tight?
Also i was just wondering if playing with no shoes on is a bad habit to get into?

It depends on how loud everthing else is gonna be. Tuning it higher will help with people hearing it but when they hear it, it might sound like you were playing timbales instead.

Do you sweat when you play? Do your feet sweat when you play?Its not of habit, its of preference, if you like playing with bare feet, rock on!

been playing barefoot for ten years!!! not one gig with shoes on... its a little inconvenient, but you cant play if you cant feel i say!!

Some of my faves play with bare feet, pros and buds. A friend of mine got an endorsement from Gravis footwear a few years ago, and had a flap with them because she plays barefoot, an they wanted her to wear the shoes.
