I recently ordered second LCD monitor for PC, do i need special video card to hhok it up?
my pc on;y has one monitor port.

Yeah you need a dual head video card, do a google search for a dual head video card there are a bunch out there ;)

What that guy said!

And you don't want to (totally) cheap out on a dual-monitor capable video card, as it does require a certain level of processing power to run two monitors. What're the sizes of the monitors, and what types of hookups do they have? (DVI or VGA adapter)

Man, its been some time since I've looked at video cards... didn't realise you'd have to go out of your way to find one that only has a single monitor hookup :D

I totally agree ;)

Currently I have one 19" LCD plugged right into motherboard's monitor port.
this 2nd one is also 19", (i haven't received it yet: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dl...MEWN:IT&viewitem=&item=110148818739&rd=1&rd=1)

My PC is 1.9 GHZ, 768MB RAM, 50GB HD + 200GB external, Audio card Emu 1212m PCI.

Would it be better to get 2 port video card or single, (but I really care about the price), I don't even care if the graphics will be a little "bad", unless it doesn't effect audio and program proccessing and speed.
Mostly I will one monitor, but i will use 2 when i will need to have sequencer in one monitor and Plug-ins and VST instruments, mixer in another window, basically, I will use 2 monitors whenever using Audio/MIDI software.
Also, i use lots of SoftSynths which eat up CPU power alot, usually i have to freeze softsynths.

I have been using a dual agp video card for about 4 years. It cost me about 60 bucks then. Works great.
