As I said in another post I run my guitar to my BOSS GT 5 and then out to my rogue 100watt amp with two 12's.

What are the differences between running the fx then to the amp, versus running the guitar straight to the amp and then using the loops into the fx and then loop back to the amp?

Generally how does this effect the sound - and is one considered better or is it up for choice?

Thanks everyone!

Anyone?
Run processor to amp or guitar to amp then loop through processor?

If you're saying using the GT-5 through the effects loop of your amp then yes i'd say thats the better way. This way the Processor avoids the preamp on your amp and doens't get the extra EQ in there and extra preamp for that matter.

To whom is own though man, try them both out you may just like the processor -> amp better than the effects loop.

Thanks - I am trying all the ways now.

Problem is, on many of the ways I could do them (I have outs on amp and fx and loops on amp and fx) I am getting a harsh buzz in the pc monitors.

Seems any way that involved the amp gives off a buzz. only way I could remove the buzz is if the buzz goes back through the fx and hits the noise supressor.

Experimenting further - will report back!
