so i was in sound control today and i noticed that one of those new orange tiny terror amps was wired up to a marshall 4x12 so i thought to myself "why not try it" so i picked up a fender jag and plugged in, and i was actually quite impressed that for the size it was giving me fair power, with a pretty nice tone.

i was then talking with a guy i know who works in there and he said "we just got in the new marshall, wanna try it?" again i thought "why not?" and plugged the jag in. this i was not so impressed with. im not quite sure what i was expecting, but this certainly wasn't it. the guy i was talking to said "i dont really like it because it doesn't really do what i want it to" i thought "fair enough, that's why there's different amps for different purposes" but to me this just sounded a bit like one of those 30 watt solid state amps that doesnt do anything brilliantly well, but you can sorta do a lot of stuff on it, if you get me. but yeah i was surprised how it really wasn't amazing.

maybe it needed cranking, although at one point i had it pretty loud. who knows? the jag i was playing sounded good thru an ENGL tube combo not long ago so i dont think it was that.

anyone had any experience with these amps yet?

No the jcm2000, they sound like pure fizz. Nothing like the older Marshalls.
