Optimum environment for recording acoustic guitar

Hi,
As with my other post this is of course subjective but in theory what's the ideal environment in which to record acoustic guitar (home recording wise (so lets not get sidetracked into expensive studio talk please)).

Is it:
-wooden floors, solid floors, carpeted floors,
-small room, large room,
-uneven walls, what shape room etc, etc.

In terms of apllication I'm talking about a pretty dead sound.

What you think?

I don't know c7sus. I kind of like the Mellow Yellow.
Comfy pillows, Bob Marley all the time, and some great Morrocan Black, and this tea that always makes you hungry...

Seriously...carpet floors, small rooms, room shape doesn't matter.
An acoustic guitar will pick up reflections, you want a room with as little echo as possible, when recording.

Otherwise, lots of ventilation, right c7sus?

I record in my control room. Heavy acoustic foam, carpet, not many reflections. I then control the reverb in the mix. Works good for me :)

Bottom line, the deader the better, the mic will pick up what you need then add good reverb later.

I'm building a pseudo studio in my basement right now and I am doing a "live" room...thats like 5x6...small room..enough for a couple people max.

reflective tile on the walls, wood floor. I like to record acoustic instruments in a very live setting a lot of times.
