Optimizing 98se

hi, I have dell P3 650 mhz

10 gig HD (master), 60gig HD (slave) for audio
512 ram

And I was wondering if I am taking the full advantage of my PC. I have disabled startup programs to the minimum, and checked all the DMA under device manager.

What else can be done to optimize my 98se for audio?

If your machine is working for you, let it be.

If your machine is overtasked in someway, than optimization or upgrading may be required. Are you seeing problems/limitations?

If it aint broke....

How's it going? Well, the limitation is that I can't run as many plug-ins as I would like when muti-tracking. Especially any of the Waves plug-ins, I barely get to use them in real-time..

If you're only using the computer for recording, try Win98Lite. Have a look at this link: http://www.litepc.com/index.html

It's the best tweak you can do.
