hi im preatty certain about getting a firewire desk so I can record all instruments seprately withnin cubase. im looking at spending £300, i found this

but am curious abouth the make. are there any similar products within the same price range that will do the same job

If you are planning on mixing within cubase, you may not need the mixer, but only need the inputs/preamps/converters (i.e. you don't need all the EQ's and stuff). If that's the case, look into something like the the Presonus Firepod.
