I am looking to get a live vocal fx set up, either thru a floor model (not much out there) or a rack unit with midi floor controller......any input or opinions about this anyone????

Basically any 19" rack fx unit with a MIDI input can be controlled via a floor pedal board.

What's your budget? Take a look on ebay for a nice used Lexicon fx unit. That'd be my initial suggestion.

Look at a Lexicon MPX-200, MPX-500 or MPX-550. These give delays and reverbs, and limited EQ settings, and you'd be able to drive them via midi. As to how to control them? Either a cheap keyboard (where you dial up the patches, and the patch change info passes to the rack unit), or something like a midi footpedal. Same principle - you're using the footpedal as a controller.
