Opinions on using different interfaces and platforms with the G5

Is it possible to use a digi002 with pro tools le and a MOTU 2408 with cubase sx in the same computer in this instance a G5?

I've heard that somehow the drivers might conflict and make things difficult to run. Not knowing a ton about computers I don't see it causings problems, anyone with more knowledge have an opinion?
