Blick-um, blick-um...
Hi, I'm looking for opinions on the Quik Lok Z-WS71L http://www.americanmusical.com/item--i-QUI-ZWS71L--d-2.html

Does anybody have any experience with this type of workstation? It would save me room (I have an 88-key weighted keyboard eating up floor space), get the monitors close to the correct nearfield listening position, and I could set it up pretty much anywhere I'd need it.

Here's what it used to look like- http://www.soundclick.com/pro/imagesBands/68265_9.jpg

I have the mixer and rest of the gear in a rack now. The only drawback would be that I lose desk-area work space, but I think I can live with that.

Any feedback would be appreciated. -Rez

Looks good. I've used Quiklok stands for more years than I will admit to and never had a problem. They're well made and well designed for the purpose. Apparently someone involved with keyboards/home recording is a prime mover in the design stage --- which is as it should be.

tnx

Thanks SSScientist- I've been wrestling with the idea of buying what is basically a $400 keyboard stand but I'm going to go for it.

I'll probably also have to ditch my 19" monitor (dinosaur?) for a flat panel, but the space saved seems well worth it.

Cheers, Rez

No prob. I predict that you won't regret the purchase...
