Has anyone any experience with the DBX386 or the Mindprint AN/DI PRO. Any opinions on the preamps and A/D?

Thanks

Hi Ola
I have the 386 and it's a very cool unit. True tube circuit (235 volts on the grid) but if you're looking for tube "color" there isn't much of that. I'd describe it as very clean. AES and S/PDIF outputs are real nice, word clock and high sample rates and 16 or 24 bit word lengths. Mikey likes it.

I also have a 386, very transparent - I like it alot. One side I am using as a guitar pre - annie out to Marshall 100w. When I change the select switch on this channel , it will activate the NT-1. On the other side I have a 57 lined in. All mikes go direct to soundcard via s/pdif.

I have the MindPrint Envoice, and it's a sweet unit.
It covers a broad range.... from completely transparent to warm and pleasant.
It's versatility is almost unmatched in it's price range.
The Presonus VXP is also a very good unit, and costs roughly the same.
