you said techno ... I say FLstudio.

That's it. Very affordable, with all the plugins, you could get away with just using one program, and perfect for techno. Easy to get started, capable of nearly anything, and easy to use any new samples you get your hands on, and .sf2, whatever! I swear you won't regret it, just cause it's affordable people don't take it seriously, but since ver 4.5 it has been an all inclusive app, and with the 4.5.2 revision, the few bugs were taken care of, and it is just as crazy as any other app out there, just with roots in techno.
