i need an experienced opinion on what is a good affordable condensor mics for vocals

and an opinion on the quality and sound of the Cad premium 7 piece drum mic kit

It depends on whose vocals it is for...and the drum mic kit is better than not having one at all.

Greg L records his drums with a CAD 7pc drum mic set, and his tracks sound phenomenal. They can definitely do the job if your room/kit are setup right. CAD in general impresses me, I have a couple M177's, cheap condensors that dont sound so cheap imo.

SM7b on the vocals. I bought a drum mic kit from Audiopile a couple months ago and I really like it. It's not an A+, but it's a good, solid B, and it wasn't very expensive.

Im using an AT25...several SM57s...and 2 AT3035s

Ya know that LedZeps drums were done with 3 mics...One bass drum mic...and 2 u87s for overheads in a live room.

I have a similar CAD drum mic kit that I use. It's not the best in the world, but for what you pay it doesn't get any better.

I would also consider the AT4040 for vocals.

have to agree with the sm7 answers,,,

but on a budget an sm57/58 with a big foam head or good pop filter can give surprising results!!!!
