Never Act Like U Know All
I'm thinking about this. 2 DAW's. 1 for Cubase SX to sequence, other for Protools LE for Audio? I'm tired of clients wanting to take tracks to other studios fo mastering, and I do the whole project in Cubase, and their screwed. So I dump all the tracks as wav files, and let a mastering studio arrange them back into the song.
So, sequence and do audio in cubase, then wire the outs on muy Cubase DAW to the in's on the Pro Tools LE DAW, arange it there then save it as a file clients can take to a mastering studio. To me, this seems to be a good idea.
Whats your opinions and take on this.....and is anyone doing something similar to bouncing from one computer to another?
I can build DAW's pretty cheap
I have a DAW for dedicated for Gigastudio32, about to build a DAW for Reason 3.0, and building a powerhouse pc for my SX upgrade (im still on cubase 3.7r2). All PC's will be networked together for swapping files from one DAW to another. I think this will be bad azz when I'm done.
One probem: running outta space for 19" monitors...lol.
