opening other programs' exports

I've been trying to open up a midi file of mine in Pro Audio 9.

The file was:
1) originally created in Digital Performer on a Mac
2) saved as a Standard Midi file with GM instruments only
3) imported into Finale98 and saved on the Mac
4) opened and saved in a Finale2000 file on my PC
5) exported from Finale to Standard Midi
6) finally opened in Cakewalk

My problem is that I can play the file using my soundcard instruments but I cannot play it using my Yamaha PSR-530 keyboard connected via midi to my soundcard. The keyboard will play other midi files just fine. I've manually made sure all the patch change events in the tracks were correct.

Is this some kind of program/channel/bank problem or is it a quirk of the keyboard?
With all the file transfers and exports I'm not surprised that somethings wrong but why can my souncard play the file and my keyboard not?

Any ideas?

There are 2 types of MIDI files - TYPE 0 and TYPE 1. Try saving your file in the 2 formats and see if either one works.
