Open Reel Recorders with Country of Origin, thru the years..

Here's a weird one, it's a mono tube unit that I have called a LaBelle made in Wisconsin I believe, an oddball but worth mentioning.
 
Cipher and Niccol

I can confirm that you can add to the list of Tape recorders made in Japan....Cipher and Niccol. Cipher made for US market and Niccol for international market (as it has voltage selector....looks like Cipher otherwise)
They are listed under unknown origin!!!

Those reels are bigger than 10.5" aren't they? Even with 10.5" reels of 1-mil tape, the 10 tracks would take 10 days to fill up running continually at 15/32 ips, which is the slower of the two common microcassette speeds. So with the bigger reels, what would that mean? 20 days? 40 days for the pair, without changing reels? Do they record dead time? If not, a reel would last a whole lot longer.
