This sounds like it could turn into a very valuable thread. Unfortunately I don't have anything that's like that off the top of my head, so i would have to hit some people up and see whats going on with stuff like that.

I just found this with google lol... (but I couldn't open it because it's blocked here...)

I'd be careful with this dude.... He can't even spell "managing" correctly, I wouldn't expect him to know how to sign a contract either. Plus, a hotmail address? Ya'll don't even have a website? Come on now...

Forwarded or not (I forward my emails from www.changehiphop.com) they should still have alegit website outside of Myspace. Not for them to be considered as a real opportunity, but if they're seeking production from legit producers, for a legit album, they need a legit web presence.

As an emcee, I wouldn't send a song submission to someone with a hotmail address. If they're legit website forwarded their emails, fine... at least they have a legit website for their label.

That's just me, though... It just sounds like someone at home recording on a PC microphone wants some free beats or something...lol..

LOL..i feel you on that..but i have talked to a few known artist and producers that have a label and/or site and use their regular email account to reply..

im not saying they are a big company..dont know what they are about at all..just thought it might work for some people that may be into giving out free beats or what not..and chance to get a placement and credit for their resume or something..

bout to have a phone conversation..will let you all know the details...WFPC (waiting for phone call)

It is a good idea for those who do not have, to put together a DVD resume. I have 2 of them, but one sucked ass (the first one). Anyways, these are ever so popular for Directors, Producers, Engineers, etc. Sorta like a demo for the other side lol.

I heard about doin that somewhere else too..

I've seen some nice ones, that if I was the employer, I would probably hire them. They had an excellent short intro, into a menu with languages and different audio etc like a regular movie, and it caught the viewers' attention. It's like no longer do you gotta sweat the interview process, a well produced dvd resume can already start the hiring process for you.

Peace,

I'll be producing all of the tracks on this mixtape, i have a long resume of cats i've worked with, just released my solo, have songs floating around with Obie Trice to what's left of Goodie Mob and wanted to highlight artists from VA.

It's a good exposure for the artist or artists who are looking to get their name out over banging production and to a global audience.

A deposit is required to secure a spot on the mixtape, which will go into printing and marketing for this specific project.

here is another op

I've been talking to a number of well known rappers lately and have been organizing collabs with them for my upcoming mixtape 'Ahead Of My Time'. As you know, these days nothing like this comes for free though i have discussed prices with these rappers and got them down to a lowest price as possible.

Basically i'm looking for people that are willing to go halves in the price with me. So we will both feature on the track.

So far the mixtape is being hosted by Jae Millz and features PostaBoy and SunN.Y.

The following artists that are willing to collab include...

Kool G Rap
Daz Dillinger
Sly Boogy
40 Cal
Crooked I
Rass Kass
Skillz
Red Cafe
Killah Priest

The prices the artists have giving me range from $500-$750.

So you'll be looking at paying around $250-$375.

Though if we can find more people to pay for a certain collab, we could go thirds or quarters in the price ($125-$180).

I hope that all made sense, please reply if your interested as this WILL benefit your career.

Any questions, feel free to ask.

get it poppin...new op..

Looking for artist for mixtape and radio show!

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

What the deal this is Ad-vice the host of The Underground Spotlight. I'm opening up the lines of communication once again to blaze the Spring Quater with a hot new mixtape. I'm looking for artist on here to liven it up and the songs will be played on my live broadcast on 89.7 KLAS Los Angeles. If you don't know about my show then you are definetly sleeping because it's gaining a lot of momentum now that I've gone live on the air. So if you want to be apart of this there a few but easy to follow rules. You must have your material Edited so I can play them on the show and put them on the mixtape. This will make it a hell of a lot easier for you to get exposure because then your song can be played anywhere. You must send the material to theundergroundspotlight@verizon.net with "music for radio show/mixtape" in the subject line. The music must be HOT! because I'm not charging you to be on the mixtape. If any of you have been in the game long enough I'm sure you've been offered an oppurtunity to be on some big DJ's mixtape for a nice sum of cash. With this I'm just giving you an oppurtunity for absolutely free. What do I get in return might you ask? Well exposure for my show and my music as well so we all benefit in the long run. If you have any questions feel free to ask.
