Onyx 800R, Digimax 96 - Delta 1010, Emu 1820M / Help!

Hi!
I was almost getting my presonus digimax 96 for my new studio, when a friend told me that the Onyx 800R is a great deal... What do you think about those pres??
And I'm looking for a good (budget) interface with digital ins and outs for my studio like the Delta 1010 or Emu 1820M...Wich one has better converters?
I'm brazilian and I don't have much variety here, do you have any options for me in this price range? (max. $1300 8 channel pres, $500 10 channel interfaces).

get something sturdy like an rme fireface or mackie onyx and for your utility pres grab a behringer ada8000 or an alesis ai3

If you are going to get a pre with lightpipe output, the converters don't matter. Just make sure your interface supports lightpipe and not just optical input.

I have owned both the Digimax and the Onyx 800R. I still have the Onyx 800 and use it all the time. I sold the Digimax. It was OK, but not all that special. I thought the Onyx was better. Plus it has more features that matter to me (M/S capability, polarity reversal, adjustable bit depth).

If it's a choice between those two preamps, I would pick the Onyx for myself. Both are very good preamps for the money though.

but I'll need a good 10 channel interface, cause I'll use another pres with analog outputs. I was looking to the Fireface, but is not in my budget. I already have used the Delta 1010 in a studio here and realy liked, but it doesn't have Adat inputs and doesn't work with 192khz, and I don't like the Behringer's interfaces.. Do you have any other sugestions to me?
