only recording vocals to left side???

i rap, the beats will play fine then ill record my vocs and theyre only on the left side...i use an AT 4040 mic, firebox and tried with garageband and studio one... suggetions?

You need to set Garage band to record in Mono

Right now you're set up as recording stereo but your only giving the input on one mic on Channel one which in a stero set up is the left channel.

Set the input to mono from input one and your vocal will be front and center

Yeah like he said. Mono is one channel stereo is two.
