Solved Only one speaker

I had Christmas early, and a few of the gifts I received were an M-Audio 2496, a DMP3, and a Presonus HP4 headphone amp. Plus a pair of MoreMe headphones.

I got everything working so far. I can record 2 mics at once, and can hear both of them through the headphones (one on the left, and the other on the right).

So everything is working fine on the new equipment.



But I also need to use my old pair of headphones (it has one 1/8" stereo jack) plus my active computer speakers (which also has one 1/8" stereo jack).

So I went to Radio Shack and got a 1/8" to 1/4" adapter so I could hook them into the headphone amp. Problem is, I'm only hearing sound out of the left speakers.

Is this because I got a mono 1/4" adapter? They make stereo ones right? Is this what I need? I was dumb and didn't even pay attention to the fact that it said "stereo to mono" on the package.

I realized how dumb I was not long after hitting the "Submit Thread" button.

I'll have to go get a couple new adapters tomorrow since nothing is open today.

Well I got the adapters and everything's working great now.

I love the Presonus HP4...got 2 pairs of headphones + speakers hooked up with no problems.

It stays real cool too, no heat problems.

Only wish there was a power button.

I did that before

I bought a splitter for two pairs of headphones. Then I plugged them i and realized I had two headphones with only the left speakers working. It took me a while to figure it out too.
