I am looking at possibly adding one or two of these to my studio. Anyone have a good online source with a low price for these?

I do believe those have been discontinued. Check www.joemeek.com and see if it will be re-released.

Yeah, they've been discontinued a while ago, especially the pre-cs version (which is supposed to be better than the cs).
I bought mine new in april '02 and I believe it came from the last batch.
Personally I don't expect them coming back in any form. Of course I don't know PMI's agenda but my guess was that Joemeek discontinued the VC6Q in the first place because they wanted a clear separation between gear for the homerecording enthousiast (MQ1, VC3Q/MQ3) and the gear more aimed towards the pro studios (VC1Q, TwinQ). The VC6Q sat somewhere in between.
