online school?

i have no idea where to post this, hope no one minds. So, what do you guys think about online classes for recording engineer, music production, music business? I realize that going to school is probably better, but I'm in no position to up and quit my job and all that.Know what I'm saying?
If anyone has any experience with this I'm interested to hear about it and if anyone has any suggestions on a GOOD place for this I'm also interested.
and if i am just way out of bounds by posting this here any redirection is welcome

i'm in no way against going to school for recording...but I don't think online classes will be helpful.
Save the money and just do your research here and on the net.
The thing that is most important is hands on experience which online classes will probably not offer.
