What are the best online sources of info about technique, theory, and just anything to do with learning music? The only one i've ever used is gutarnotes.com (ULGA). I dont use it anymore because it's mostly crap, and takes alot of effort to find real useful info. I'm sure there's at least one good site for this. Point me in the right direction.

well, junior33, i don't know. i highly doubt there's any decent, comprehensive stuff out there for free. what do you want to learn, exactly? if you're looking for guitar stuff, i think the best thing is to find yourself a GREAT guitar teacher, who knows their stuff.

i'm afraid you're bound to have to pay for a decent musical education, if it's in the form of books, teachers or courses.

for guitar stuff, try www.licklibrary.com some is free, some not so, but these guys are good and show video's of them playing stuff up close and in slo-mo so you can pick it up. even if you wanna register, it aint expensive.

in terms of music theory, just use google etc ive never had a problem finding sites - takes a bit of trawling to seperate the free ones from the pay/maildelivery ones, but you only have to do it once to build up a library of sites that'll help you do what you want

c'mon you guys! I was just about to post this same question. I know there are some good chord finder utilities, and transposing stuff out there, scale references, etc. I've seen them here on other posts, but when I need them I can never find them, searching or not. Howzabout we all list all the great songwriting/theory/whatever sites here once and for all?!!!!

guitar.com chordfind.com musictheory.net olga.net mxtabs.net - best way to learn is to just keep learning new songs
