It's interesting because this forum stands apart from a social-opinion perspective. Just wanted to note that I find it a twilight zone. I've been to other forums that are very pro-online-collaborative. Also interesting here, many people seem to not care as much about commercial aspects. Not to say that money should rule but everyone likes to make a living doing what they love.
I guess that was off topic.
cheers
In general, I am indifferent to online collaboration. I've done it. It doesn't either excite me nor am I really against it. *shrugs*
In contrast, just for the sake of the dialog, I've collaborated in real life both live and in studio/writing... always have some kind of friction if not in the creative process then in the legalities. I also tend to know more about my rights than some others I've worked with: but not nearly an authority. I think that makes some people think I'm trying to beat them because I am knowledgeable about my rights regarding my contributions. Frankly, I think I'm more than fair...downright giving.
