I could be down for bass. I have pro gear, the attitude, and the look. If someone can pick me up and bring me to practice I can do it. :D

im into metal, classic rock, prog rock.

Im really into stuff like dream theater, emerson lake and palmer, yes, metallica, slipknot, sabbath, tool -

I was joking about the getting to practice. I was answering like on one of those typical rock band want ads that always say something like " Bass player wanted, must have pro gear, attitude, the look, and reliable transportation".

I do have good bass gear and this does sound pretty cool.

what type of kit yopu got?

what about your recording gear.

Kit is a Hart Dynamics Pro 6.4 with Roland TD10 and TD8 modules...

Recording gear = Fostex VF16 16 track Digital, Fostex MR8, Yamaha MG10/2, Dell P4 3.4 Gig w/ 1.0 gig ram and 100 gig HDD running assorted software (Cubasis VST, Samplitude Master 6.0, Cakewalk Music Creator, Tracktion).

Various Midi-type apparatus

Assorted condensor & dynamic mics, but those are used for guitars and vox since my kit is digital...

So you could actually send a midi file over of your tracks right? that would be awesome.

It's too bad this isn't a meet in real life project.

I'd be all over it.

I'm not comfortable with online collaboration. :(

Unless someone near me wants to record and ship my files.

I'm curious...why not? I'm finishing up the 4th CD I've recorded since I found this place, and much like the last one, it has online collab material all freaking over it. I don't play drums, but all of the tunes have real drums on them, etc.

Just curious why that would scare you.

Good luck all...hope this works out.

I don't have the gear or expertise with digital recording to collaborate online.

At least I'm not comfortable with my gear and chops in that respect.

I'd rather not be the weak link in the chain that brings the audio quality down.

AAAAaaahhhh...well that certainly makes sense. I thought maybe it was a legal concern or something. Thanks for answering.
