is there a way, and if how can i, when i'm testing different audio options and effects, Press the Audition Button, and have the "Audition" start in a different spot than the first 3 seconds of the song. For example, Pressing the Audition button, and it plays me from 1:00:00 - 1:03:00

Yea, it's great to audition the space at the front of the take.
I haven't actually tried this, but it looks like you can highlight a section in the middle of the track with 'alt' and left mouse select (sweep). That would be the part to be effected instead of the whole clip. See if that does it. (I'm in PA8 by the way.)

I assume you are aware that you can change the default audition time to something greater than 3 seconds.

But if you aren't, go to Options -> Global -> General. You will find a setting for Audition Commands for ____ Seconds. You can change this to anything up to 25 seconds. The default is 3.
