I have a POD pro. One of the sounds that I am trying to get out of it is a longer hold to notes, like a Gary Moore kinda sound. I put it on delay, turn up the reverb etc but it still doesn't come.

Any ideas?-cheers.

You could try putting on some compression. This should give you a bit more sustain. I found this problem to, when trying to get sustained notes on the POD. I think the best way is to send a signal out to your real amp and crank it/mic it. High gain on a real amp play a large part in getting any sustain (as well as playing technique, of course).

Yeah, even if you're recording direct with the POD, make sure you turn your monitors up loud enough that you get some natural feedback....I found it awkward to play quiet.

And as Emeric said, compression is definately one way to get sustain. But watch it or you'll end up sounding like carlos santana :)

Don't worry, I have a nice selection of the finest guitars.
