I have a condenser mik already and I havent compared it to another yet...
Its a little noisy as far I can tell, I have a reliable soundcard and pre amp so I think the mik ís the problem.
However noisy or not, I should find out because I will buy a SP B1 and try it out. I want to record in stereo so thats why Im buyng this one...

What do I have to think of when getting stereo recording?
Is it possible to use 2 miks of different kind/brand, is there any differences?

Also, how do I set up my recording with two miks? Where to place them infront of the guitar/vocals? Any special soundsettings maybe different rec volume etc?

Im using:
Cool Edit Pro
2 Balanced input/output Audio Buddy mik pre amp.
Balanced cables...

I will buy the SP B1 open for return so I just have to try it out! So... I just gotta know how to do it right.

Thanks!

Recording in stereo with two different mics is no problem, if your two ears are totally different... Get a pair of matched mics.-Richie
