Sorry to post to much of my crap in one day, but today was the 1st chance I've had to sit down and play for fun in awhile....I read a article in this mornings paper about a fish called a "hognose sucker" that is starting it's spring spawning runs into Michigan's rivers and streams..."great song idea", I thought to myself, and proceeded to record this little ditty...kinda wanted a surf rock cheesy 50's/60's vibe.....here is a rough mix...I promise there will be no more today :p !

Fuckin a dude, thats pretty cool. :D

It's definitely got a surf-a-billy feel to it. Nice licks. The snare sounds like its having some phase issues or maybe thats just some fat reverb on it. I'd like to hear the bass cut through a little better as well. Otherwise thats a pretty fun little tune you got there. :)

Thanks man! Not usually a style I play in but it was pretty fun!!I was actually kinda stuck working on another thing, and was getting frustrated, so I just decided to jam on something kinda weird....did the whole thing in a couple of hours and felt much better after banging my head against the wall on the other tune....I will address the bass and snare on the remix as I agree, they are kinda lacking....Thanks for listening!!

Yeah... I kinda invision like the guy from the movie "Deliverance" playing the banjo running by a river yelling "PA" over and over agian...and then maybe a few mutants from The Hills Have Eyes flicks diving in the water after the fish....man...I gotta get out more :o
 
Drums could use a little verb to put them in the same space as the guitar.

Great playing as per usual. :)

Love the surf tone, man. Good hands.
 
Great surf sound on this tune, right out of the fifties/sixties. Nice groove to the playing also. That laughing is, well, lol it's hilarious...
 
I can see the 1960s beach babes in polkadot bikinis doing the twist.

The laughing is great. I'd make it sound farther away though.

Thanks for the great comments guys...I just posted a remix that should play from the links at the top of the screen....I added verb to the drums to try and make them sound like they were in the same place as the rest of the instruments...I then kicked the bass guitar up a bit in the mix and also completely re tracked the lead surf guitar playing a few new things...let me know if it works :o ......I don't have any verb on the laughing...just some echo....I will add some to see how it sounds...thanks again for the great suggestions!
