One hits on Acid

I just installed Acid Pro and the manual is pretty skimpy. I want to know hoe to insert a "one-hit" loop in a measure at a position different than the 1st beat. I try to put it in with the pencil, but the hit, lets say a kick drum, only plays the first beat. I thought I could put it anywhere in a measure and create my own loop patterns. I hope this is true.

You probably have snap to grid enabled... disable it or change it to smaller subdivisions of a beat...
 
Yep, you have to change your "snap to" function to a smaller subdivision. I think it goes as small as 1/64th of a beat. You'll find this under the "options" pulldown. I had the same problem when I started out with Acid and now I'm making my own loops with one shots and that is all that I use it for....it's quick and easily changeable.

I will try that. I was kind of afraid you would tell me it could't be done. Really looking forward to getting into this deeper (so expect more "I'm freakin lost" posts).
