Well, I just finished my first attempt at soldering cables (11 all togther, some of each XLR, TRS, and TR)
and I was very surprised that it wasnt hard AT ALL compared to what I thought itd be like. At first it was very time consuming, but after about 5 cables I felt like a pro haha.
Im using neutrik connectors - and I know that theyre put together correctly. At least, I think I know - I looked at all the diagrams online. However, I can only screw them together until theres about 1/8" of threads showing. Is this normal? Should I just use vice grips or something to tighten the rest of it?
Or did I do something wrong in the placement of everything..
