lol.. don't know if any of you knew this, but i've been asked SO many times on how to place controller data in cubase, and i simply didn't know (I never use manuals except for the really weird raw data)
I then sat down with cubase and checked out the List editor where i figured the problem should find its solution.. and it did!
Lol.. it's so simple really:
To find the place, maximize your List view and in the top you'll find some rows and columns. Go three to the right and one down. You'll see a box saying "ins note." Check it out. Here you can select what data to input. Controller messages, program changes and all that
If you take "snap to grid" off you'll be drawing freehand allmost.. To the right you can't enlarge the graphical shit, but what the heck.. using values is more precise anyway ... (still :
) If i find a way to enlarge that shit i'll keep you updated
If you select Program Change, you only have to use Val. 1. For Continous Controllers, Val 1. is the type of controller and Val 2. is the amount.. simple as that
Pay notice as usual that on some devices a Program/Controller data is decreased by one, so that an amount of 8 will be interpreted as 7...
If i find a way to do freehand controller drawing in key view i'll post it up
