Hi.
I've got a mic cable that is about 80 feet long,and I want to make it into two 20s and a 40. I got a male and female XLR pair of connectors at Radio Shack. When I had the first cable all soldered up, I had messed something up and all of the wires were shorting, according to my multimeter. I re-did it, and the same thing happened. I want to start over, with non-RS connectors. (I've done this before, with connectors bought at You Do it Electronics (Needham, MA).) What connectors should I get, and where should I get them? Is there a good on-line source for this kind of thing?
