HELP!!!
i have 1 hair strand left!!!!
i am using sonar xl,700mhz,40Gb,246Mb and now i have this new problem.
the delta 66 is in my computer, the omnistudio is sitting there laughing at me.
i am using a keyboard, guitar, drum machine and microphone to record audio only. i then plan on burning the tracks i record onto cd using the cd burner that is in my computer.
i want to know how/where to hook these up to the omni. also, i use an alesis quadreverb and need to know where on the omni to hook this up so i can get quadreverb effects on any track that is being or has been recorded.
for some reason today, the instructions that come with it and the web site directions are making me want to stick with my SBLive garbage card. does anyone have any info to help me with this dilemma?
i will be eternally greatfull!!!!!!!!

thanks for the response

hi, thanks for responding, i almost lost faith in the BBS forum.....
anyhow, i think ive made a big mistake in my decision to purchase the omnistudio.
yes, it has phantom power, there are no midi inputs, but thats ok, cuz i dont record any midi.
what i dont seem to understand is that i think that i have to change my input/output choices everytime i want to hear/record something else. in other words, if i want to record tracks 1 and 2 (drum machine and keys), that is ok to do. but then to record 3 and to hear playback from 1 and 2, i think i have to make changes within the delta control panel. to playback a cd, i think i need to make changes.
i really only wanted 2 inputs. to have the ability to record onto 2 seperate tracks at the same time. i dont think my SBLive platinum card allowed me to do that. do you or anyone know if that is possible?
everything was working fine until the need to record more than 1 track at a time arose.
i dont have an external mixer. but i will try some of your suggestions for hookup to see what can be done.
thanks for your help.

plug the mic into Input 1 ()...if you are going direct with the guitar, plug it into input 2 (with the preamp)....if your keyboard is stereo, it can go into line 3 in and line 4 in......you can plug the drum machine into the alternate 3 and 4 input and switch back and forth as needed.....take a line from the effects send to the Alesis and out of the alesis into the effects return on the omni......
