Omni Studio Help Needed

Hello All--
I have been trying to work our some of the kinks with getting my omni studio setup properly. I have run into something I am hoping someone has experience with because from my viewpoint the manual says one thing, yet I see another. Here goes...

I am recording two guitars (guitar 1 into MIC/INST INPUT1 and guitar 2 into MIC/INST INPUT2) to have preamp ability. The manual specifically states that on page 19 that "MIC/INST 1 .. Left PCM in 1/2 Delta and MIC/INST 2 .. Right PCM in 1/2 Delta..

So, when I look at the delta control panel I see both the left and right channel levels work as appropriate for this config in the H/W IN 1/2 Column (that matches the manual). However, the MASTER VOLUME has both inputs using the LEFT channel only? WTF?

So, in trying to monitor the signal I hear everything (the two guitars) blasting out of my left monitor only.

Please tell me someone has experienced this and can help me out?

This may be a dumb question but are you recording both guitars on one track? If you are that's probably your problem. I seem to remember doing the same thing when I first started. If you are recording on just one track make sure the track in your software is in stereo.

That's about all I can think of. I'll have to read the manual again to see if it's another problem. Try to get back tomorrow. :)
 
Check the sliders in the control panel and make sure they're not all pushed left.
 
In the Patchbay/Router tab make sure you've selected Monitor Mixer under H/W Out 1/2
 
cracked lid hit the nail on the head. Gah! I feel dumb now :) Yeah both sliders were pushed to the left. Yep, I am a dork :rolleyes:

hehhh cracked I just read your thread and had to reply. Looks like we are competing for some "dumb fuck" award, but hey that's how 'ya learn :D

I look forward to not having a repeat performance though :rolleyes:
