I just bought the omni i/o studio which comes w the delta 66 soundcard, both being highly praised by some friends and family...

I just wanted to know if i had the omni i/o box... would I STILL need the mixer? and if so... what is recommended...

thanks, ya'll

You dont NEED mixer. You got decent pres w phantom power, 2 insert points, 4FX sends for the analog channels. Monitor outs and record mix outs as well as 4 direct outs. I could only see you wanting a seperate mixer if you have more source to record than you have inputs, or you want faders for easier control of input levels.

I've had mine for a couple years and have had no problems with it. I recently bought a new interface, but only for more inputs and for the control surface.

Enjoy your new purchase :)

ah.. you got tha omni i/o studio and delta66 also ?

hmm... I REALLY hope that's enough to work with... I'm in the process of building.. but I'm also trying to learn throughout the way, of course... Welps.. if anyone can think of something that i'll need or can work with to improve sound quality than holla holla... and list models please ;)... thanks , yall.. keep this up therrr

hey jayphon - my tips are headphones and monitors. buy some of harvey gerst's moreme headphones they're the best for the money for sure, $20 or $30 depending on model. then start saving for some yorkeville smp1s, can't get them in the UK but everyone over there reckons they're the best for the money.

also, mics - what mics do you have?

microphones.. i have an imported nippon np-820... and a shur sm58...

thanks, guys.. keep this UPPIN
