Older Echo Layla24 vs Newer Layla3G

Does anyone know what the upgrades/improvements are to the 3G besides the pre-amps? I can get either one of them new at about the same price. Was there a converter upgrade? My pre's will be from a Soundcraft E8.

I'm asking because the older one retailed for $700+, and the newer one can be found for about $450. Is the price just to stay competitive?

ya i was wondering the same thing. the old layla here in canada is about 850 but i can get the new one for like 650. i wonder what is up.

I'd love the Layla 3G. The two pre's would take care of all my pre needs, and then the rest I can hook all of my other crap to.
