Hello Folks,
I just received a darla 24 card. After installing the drivers for it, a window popped up stating there is an error, conflicting with a file Cwd3dsnd.exe (which is CrystalWave Windows Audio Drivers). The darla is working properly and not conflicting with others when I check it out in device manager.
Darla and IRQ Holder for PCI Steering are on IRQ 11. Nothing else. I run on Windows 98, celeron 400, 64 Meg ram, 4.3 G hard drive.
The computer says that Cwd3dsnd caused a general protection fault in module ECHOGALS.DRV (which I suppose is part of the darla 24 drivers I installed.
Can I delete the dwd3dsnd.exe window audio drivers, without doing something very wrong? I can record one track on both ntracks and cool edit pro, but the computer sometimes freezes, I can't shutdown the computer with the on/off button even, so I need to unplug it.
I did email Echo, but thought I would ask if anyone might know what is happening on this really good site.
Thanks
bobbo
