Hey all,
I got bored a few days ago at work (a Dental School) and stumbled upon about 20 analog 1/4" reel to reel tapes in an abandoned chemistry lab. The makes are Scotch 212 and Ampex High Frequency PRT 1800. I couldn't find anything about them on the web, and nobody ever felt the need to print the fluxivity on the box for some reason. I was wondering if anyone has ever come accross these and if they could ever be useful for recording (I've got a Fostex Model 80 - 1/4" 8-track) or if there's a market for them somewhere (no hits on eBay). There's cash-register-like rolls of paper on the floor around them, and they've got waveforms printed on them. I guess they were used for scientific measurements or something. If anyone knows anything about this, including my ability to use them or turn a buck on them, please give a shout back.

Thanks,
Jon
