160 views? I know someone has feelings on the mix... I know the Snare sucks? Ok? I already know this, and I'm going to work to make that better. I'm interested in any other observations? I also believe the strings are too much in several spots. Overall? It's not bad :-) But I appreciate your input. Happy New Year!

I was just waiting for you to acknowledge the snare!!!! It's alos a little too far to the side.
The strings are pretty good in my ears - they are meant to be strong.
I particularly like the 'cello parts.
The harp (?) or piz part doesn't work for me though.

Yeah the snare needs work. The overall arrangement is good except I think it needs something else rhythmic going on during the verses. The drums are a bit weak and the fact that everything else is playing sustained notes makes the rhythms sound too weak. I'd boost the drums(maybe quantize them also) and then think about adding an acoustic guitar playing steady 8th notes or some percussion to spice things up.

The song itself was pretty good though. Nice voice. I liked the strings a lot too.

I screwed the pooch with the snare :-( Unfortunately, I subsequently hosed up my Sonar project so it would take too much for me to fix it... However, you're in good company? It seems people uniformly have condemned that snare. It was a fun project to close out 2012. Next for me are a few colabs, and I may try to finish an original I've been working on for years now. Thanks for the feedback! And Happy New Year!!! I hope it is prosperous for all.

I managed to salvage the mix? And I think I fixed the snare, and made the drums, and the orchestra, and everything better.

The best mix is at;

At the top, To love somebody. With a nice picture of Kate Upton...

I'm trying to get better at the mixing? And I think this is one of my better offerings, my newest anyway.

Everything is extraordinarily cheesy. And the drums sounds just f#$%ing terrible. How can you listen to that Peewee's Playhouse hi-hat sample and actually think it sounds good or real? I guess drummers aren't extinct after all. I just HAD to hear something you've done after reading that ridiculous post you made in the drums forum.

But I guess you're banned now...
Does that make me a coward?...maybe! Oh well.
:)

I must be in a good mood, but there is something strangely compelling about your work. I am commenting on "Homeland". Musically it is very stodgy, and you have some kind of very uncool cliché patriotic tedium as a subject, but you actually have quite a nice tone and compelling voice.
