Old Peavey tube microphone

Back in the ADAT days, a band I was playing with recorded with this guy who had a Peavey Tube microphone that looked egg like sort of like the old RCA's or an AEA 84. Any one know about this? I was just taking a trip down memory lane and couldn't find any information on my own.

I found a couple of blurbs, nothing too substantive. The model is T9000, you can Google that & see.

There's a pair up on eBay for $800.
