Old Mic

Hi!

A friend of mine found an old Microphone.
I want to find out if you can get a cable for it and if it's worth anything.



It's labeled "Radio Henry" on the front, and DYN-ALPHA 2814 on the side.
What do you think?

Looks like the connector is quite big.
Would a standard XLR cable connector push in with its casing removed? At least that way you could workout the pinout and test it.
That's how I currently use my reslo ribbon, although it has a female base, but still.

Cool looking old mic, box and all. I don't know enough to be very helpful but here goes. As i recall that is a mic for radio broadcast most likely a dispatchers mic that attaches to a desk stand that would have a switch that connects to a radio set. That mic is from the days before XLR or 1/4" TS/TRS became the norms and every manufacturer used different connections often proprietary. You may be able to find an old school radio or HAM radio shop that can rig up a connector.

The mic was made by Henry Radio. They are still in business today. You could contact them to see if they could give you more information and wiring schematics.

I have the right connector for that mic. They're hard to get so you're in luck.

I need the mic though to connect to a cable and test.

Do you know how to solder yourself?
