'ello kids,

Just wanted some feedback on my new project Shallow End Swimming. Got some great feedback for my other one, Ulcerate in the past, and wanted to run the new stuff by the forum's collective ears again. While Ulcerate was pretty hostile in sound, Shallow End Swimming is geared more to the Indie/Post-Rock genres with a few electronica touches added in. (some Ulcerate stuff is finally being released next year too!)

In particular, I'm interested in feedback to the track "Hypathetic". Once again, with the aid of a few drum loops, I've sang & played everything myself on the following gear: Les Paul 6-string, Ibanez 5-string, Line 6 Guitar & Bass Pod units, Line 6 DL-4, E-bow, Behringer micro mixer, Rode NT-1 mic, recorded into my PC with an SB Live card, software - Cool Edit Pro & Hyperprism and Waves DX plugins.

Tune can be downloaded or streamed at http://mp3.com/shallowendswimming.

Thanks again,

Simon Kean

not a bad job at all, reminds me of some of the stuff ive done it the past. some of loops sound familiar, did you use rapoon or liquid planet? there's some good loops ive used in there before. the mixes sound pretty good and some it reminds of nin's meets radiohead. good work

Cheers Scriabin,

Yeah, there's a couple of Liquid Planet loops in there. It's a useful cd. Thanks for checking out the stuff.

what is that cool snare sound ?

What is that sound you used for a snare accent ? That sounds very cool. I am listening to Hypathetic, nice work. Cool sound, cool mix of different sound textures. Peace, Silver
